Little nuns with pointers, priests with yard sticks, bars of soap and sinks, the belt, etc. You're bringing up some bad memories. A lot of fellow school board employees have many stories to trade about this.
Thankfully, most of the nuns and priests are leaving to get married or find themselves, so now we just have lots of screwed up "lay people" (non clergy to the unwashed masses) teaching the next generation.
VanCamp, if I say I'll get a GSD before I turn 50 what rating do I get?

P.S. I still really want one. Just not ready yet.

Hi Andy, your rottie is becoming a bully. You need to set him straight on what you will allow. He is enjoying being the pushy one, and you need to get after him with some strong corrections to get this stopped, or you may be on the 10:00 news!! I would suggest some strong leash corrections, with some down/stays. When allowed close to people, keep him on a leash, and any stiff body language or lip curling needs a leash correction. As soon as you can approach the person, with no signs of aggressive body language, praise, reward, back to a down stay. Continue on this until the dog no longer shows any signs of pushiness with that person. You will have to continue doing this with others, and more than likely, watch him constantly, as he's had success pushing other people around, and enjoys it. I'm on my sixth rott in 14 years, and most of them try this routine between one and two years old. He's leaving his puppyhood and thinking he's a big bad dog!!! Mostly a "boy thing!!" Susan

andy, Remember when he wouldn't bark. Sometimes we have to be careful for what we wish.
Now you have to take control, redirect his behavior when he acts up. Again OBD is your answer.
Whose picking on Andy? Not to worry, he can handle it.
Andy PM if you get a chance.
