Today we worked on HAVING A BATH IN THE ICE COLD STREAM WITH THE HIRED MAN HOLDING YOUR MOUTH CLOSED because you rolled in calf manure!
NO FUN FOR ANYONE!
Sadie was begging to do some training after breakfast (love that food drive!). We did a little indoor routine that I use to reinforce learned behaviors that are components of longer exercises. We did some quick paw, back, look, come (for the front position), crotch, opied (pivot in heel position), and sit-in-motion. She nailed them all and we breezed through very quickly.
Before i leave for work, we'll do a short, straight track incorporating some back-to-basics methods that Anne suggested.

LOL! You guys usually inspire me to do things with my dogs that I never imagined on my own. I think I'll pass on this one.

I feel your pain... We have the quickie bath down to a science here. My dogs don't roll in sheep poop (they just eat that) but they do frequently find random piles of critter poop to roll in on runs through the field.
New location... Touch, bring, find, opied, crotch.
Looking forward to two mornings of tracking with the club! I think Sadie and i have died and gone to heaven together.
We worked on leave it as usual. I was walking him to the school ground and there were some squirrels which he will easily ignore when I catch him....but he was very interested like "What are they doing?"...they were on a honeymoon. LOL
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
Whistle recall to front, whistle down, heeling focus also sit & down in motion. I've trained Zoey to stop at the curb while chasing the ball she knows it as "street game" so we brushed up on that.
Solid roll over with just verbal command.
Last night I went to the elementry school ground and hide his rope tug a few times. I downed him around the corner of the building but after the first time he moved up just enough to peek around the corner....so I had to tie him to a post. There is a covered black top where I train or hide stuff because its well lit.
Anyway, he found it each time...the last time I climbed and hid up high at the top of this support beam. He went up to it and looked the the familiar crevices for it and went to the next one, checked it...and stopped, he air scented and whined tail up waving....raised a paw and went back to where it was and looked up and sniffed...then he tried climbing and then backed up and sat. I knocked it off for him and he flung it around in bliss then brought it for a tug game. Silly dutchie.
