David, so sorry to read about your wife's disk surgery but so happy to hear that she's doing well.
Gosh, not to anthropomorphize, (probably not the correct use) but I know what it's like keeping a strong, energetic, otherwise healthy shepherd down thru a herniated disc. Can't imagine what that's going to be like for a good woman.
Maybe we can help her think of some restricted, low impact, down time stuff to do in recovery.
