It seems likely that the single doses (meaning the Parvo and Distemper could be administered separately rather than a double whammy) are a big benefit compared to even the 2-way. As you said, "I think I've heard that you're not supposed to mix seperate vaccines into one shot due to possible additive interactions."
Doctors Foster and Smith (peteducation) say the separate (monovalent) vaccines may decrease the possibility of an adverse reaction and that MLV (modified live vaccines) may also decrease the reaction likelihood.
And Maggie's vet has agreed to administer (and of course record-keep); Maggie just has to procure the vax.
Interjection: My vet just called back and said she could probably get single doses from San Jose (they are a practice with more than one office), but I told her it looked like this catalog Cathy posted is just as easy and I'm sure just as fast (shipping is shipping, these days ... all fast).
It looks like if Maggie calls her vet to double-check on the number of each (three?), the question is answered.
Since I am brain-dead today, anyone else see any issues here?

Oh, gosh, what is wrong with me? Dr. Dodds said where to get them in my post right above. I'm looking them up now.
And I already posted the name of an online catalog that carries it.
I'm bookmarking this thread for that resource, Cathy.
Wouldn't it be cool if a wave of owners whose vets say "all we have are 5-way" (or whatever) started to reply "Well, then, I'll just get what I want for my dog."
Surely this would make for some changes ..... some vets would think "Hmmm .... I'd better re-think what we carry."
My vet told me that their San Jose office had them now because they started spreading out their boosters, when they changed their recommendation from annual to every three years, so that only one (different one) would be in each year. Certainly a step in the right direction!
I ordered 3 of each of the 2 vax I am going to use. They will be here in 2 days.
This is just a fyi - there are extra costs for the insulated carton and extra ice.
I didn't have to buy needles or syringes as I will have my vet inject him. My husband could have as he has the experience but we want the puppy to have a paper trail and a wellness check up.
NeoVac D 3 $8.97
