I'll definitely post it here. It's only fair, since many of my stories will come from you guys

I also have a Toni story that cost money, but nothing was really destroyed. When she was about 6 months old, Toni had apparently declared war on the squirrels that were in our yard. She chased them every chance she got. One day, she chased one up the side of the house. Yeah, you read that right. I looked up and Toni was on the roof of my house.
We have a Salt-box style house, and the high peak is about 40 feet up, the low side is about 10 feet up. I was a bit freaked out- I am terrified of heights so there is no way I was gonna go up there, but was afraid that she would go up the the high peak and lose her footing on the steep pitch.
Paul was gone and my options were limited so... I called the fire department. They came out with the ladder truck and got my crazy Malinois off the roof.
I got billed $200 for the call, but it was worth it. The firefighters said it was the first time they ever had to get a dog off a roof

Amber did a very good job of cleany biting in 4 pieces the power cord to my laptop. It "only"cost $80.00 to replace, and I had hidden it from her! She removed it from its hiding place to send her message of displeasure, lol (not!)

That's hilarious. Hope you got pictures. Wonder what the squirrel thought?

No pics, Jodi. I was too afraid that she would jump off the roof if I went inside to get the camera.
The firefighters remembered her though. I took Caterina in to the firehouse to do the therapy dog stuff on 9/11 last year. One of them asked if she was the one they saved from the roof. For about an hour, the older guys told the younger ones the story of Toni's rescue from the roof. I wish I had a recording of their story- it was hilarious. "So we wheel around the corner and up the driveway, and sure as s@*t there's a dog sitting on the roof barking at us."
It's nice to know that Toni will live forever in the hearts of the firefighters that saved her

(...) she chased one up the side of the house. Yeah, you read that right. I looked up and Toni was on the roof of my house (...)
BEST.STORY.EVER!
I may have tinkled laughing so hard
Back in the my olden days before I heard of a magical wire box in which to keep your dog in to prevent chaos and destruction when unattended we rolled the dice...and lost.
Sebastian (terrier of some sort 1972-1982) My parent's queen sized bed. Radio, My Barbies, Princess Leia doll, Brooke Shields doll, my little brother's Hotwheels track.
King (husky 1980-1984) a tree. That's right a small holly tree...chewed up the trunk like a beaver.
Kashmir (lhasa apso 1989-2003) my eyeglasses, 3 hollow core doors, mouldings, pair of Doc Martin's
Mack (american bulldog- no drive, energy level: inert 2000-2009) remote control & cellphone charger, gave up after 2 min since he got sleepy. Never chewed anything ever again- too lazy. Best dog ever!
Now that I have seen the path to Ed-lightenment I got a crate, ex-pen and a good leash for....
Hudson (valley bulldog 2013-present) escapee from the open topped Ex-Pen-itentiary, climbed over it (how?) and got hold of the power cord for my laptop whilst I answered my own call of nature.
Hudson has since been sentenced to a roofed arrangement- his big boy crate that I was saving for him when he got older since it is quite large for a 17lb puppy. Works great now. He will not be eligible for parole for a long while.

Oh I forgot...perfectly trained...low drive shepherd, Ricky, chewed up my husband's glasses one night while we were sleeping.
Oh, and for the too big crate...put a plastic milk crate in it. That's what we do with all our shepherd puppies until they grow into the crate.

Kelly...is the dog who climbed the house the dog in the photo? The dog in the photo looks like a Dutch when the dog in the story was a Mal. Dutch's can scale 10' walls...but I would think a Mal could as well...but a house? Whoa. Awesome. Horrible to have happened...but awesome.

Haz ate my hand tooled leather, 1930's Moroccan rocking chair. It was the first piece of furniture I ever purchased and I rocked all my babies in it. That was a tough loss. The remains are still in storage He has a real love for leather I guess because he also used my saddle as a chew toy early one morning. Biggest monetary loss has been my house. I received an emergency phone call and needed to leave right then. I left him outside for an hour. When I opened the door to let him in, I saw that he had ripped off and destroyed a 10x4 area of siding and scratched the white door down to bare metal. Ouch!

My mother's first Tibetan Terrier swallowed her diamond ring. (Yes, she did get it back. but a thorough, professional cleaning was definitely in order).
