Andy,
Everyone seems to be on the right track! I went through a stage with Argo my GSD male, between 10 and 14 months. He was very patient, a little sharp towards strangers.(THE HORMONE THING UGH!)and puberty I e-mailed Ed and a few other trainers for their advise and they all said the same thing. Argo being now 18 months I did a lot of socialization being I live out in the country, I would take him to the city were he was exposed to new things and people daliy that seemed to settle him down a bit. I used a lot of praise physical and verbal with him when he did well. I also did a lot of motivational obedience with him made it short and fun. I used Brenard's tape on focus and drive and with a lot of patience he's come along way! He still gets a little sharp toward strangers but once he knows their no threat he settles down. He just started to bark at people out side the patrol car he usually just layed down now he's interested in everything. Everyone has sound advise on the board. Ask questions they will help you.
Be Safe and Good Luck! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
