Luchian is doing better. Poop is firming up, but not a log yet. I'm still paranoid that the Nylabone is hanging out in there somewhere, waiting to rear it's ugly head. Pam has torn the house apart looking for it to no avail.
Fama chewed up and swallowed a silicone water bowl while my trainer was watching her, and she was puking up chunks of green silicone for weeks afterward... always at 0200 in the morning. Fun times...

Hope he is ok David...I've heard of dogs getting diarrhea from bits of Nyla bones, kongs and stuff...Idk if a high grade less destructible version would be ok for him, some are supposed to be tougher.
I know this is irrelevant but kinda funny...Logan has been known to eat pine cones and oddly his stools were amazingly normal. I discovered this when noticed him crying when he was pooping. I saw pine cone spikes and blood...ouch ouch ouch!
The bone he destroyed is the less destructible version. He's got some chompers on him We're just going to switch to turkey necks and be done with it.
OMG... pine cones!
We had a Saint Bernard swallow the wrapper off a ham, whole, with the little metal end still on it. He spent 10 minutes pooping that out. He had tears rolling and his back legs were shaking. I felt so sorry for him.

We have log poop this morning. There are still a bunch of little white particles in it, but it's solid at last. Adding cooked chicken to the rice gruel for the next 2 meals, and then some soaked kibble to see how he does. He's getting 3 small meals a day.
The plan is to stay on each step of the progressive diet until he poops to see how it's going. Sound like a good plan?
He is also getting 1 TBSP pumpkin puree with each meal.
Pam says he's acting totally normal, and WAY hungry, so it;s looking good. I think he may have just chewed up the whole chunk of Nylabone and swallowed all the pieces.

Ouch, poor St. Logan carries pine cones around chomping on them like they are kongs. Sometimes he hurts his mouth and spits them out for a sec.... But then he eats bees too.
Turkey necks are probably a good idea and non-weight bearing beef bones like ribs. Logan tore up all his nyla bones but he has a Rhino bone that's 6 yrs old and for some reason has never chewed it up...but idk about your kid.

Sounds like a good plan, David. WHEW!

And of course, back up to the last step if you see any softening.

Just got back on after a few days off. Glad he's doing well, David.
Hope all's well with you and with Fama.
