I just read this... I'm so glad he's feeling better Tresa!
I only feed raw now, but when I did feed commercial I used the Merrick canned formulas and was very happy with them. The Dogswell looks good too. At this point, I would be happy with him eating pretty much anything and keeping it down!

Tresa - I just read this thread. You must have been in a panic. There is only on thing that's difficult about pet ownership, and that is watching them be sick and not knowing how to help them.
I am so very glad that Logan seems to have turned the corner. I will keep my fingers crossed and say a prayer for him.
Thankyou everybody for your care, prayers and support. Logan is feeling a lot better today. Now he is being a brat after being hand fed and babied, he won't eat without me sitting next to him on the porch. I put his food down and shut the door and he looked at me through the glass then dumped his food out. So I had to pick it up and then sit there for him to eat. He'll eat as long as I sit with him...will have to break that asap.
He is getting neutered tomorrow morning.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
Hoping the neutering isn't too dreadful, he'll soon be on the mend.
7.5 is old enough for prostate troubles, other bad things too, great that you are working with your veterinarian and not trying to trouble shoot your pal yourself, as folks sometimes do.

Tresa, post back after, OK?
I know it will be fine.
PS
Do you have a soft donut collar or something else besides the stiff conehead? (Or maybe he is OK with the conehead .... I've had dogs who had more anxiety over that cone than anything else.)
I just dropped him off. He is getting VIP treatment because oh god forbid he isn't vaccinated! (even tho he actually was but I don't do yearly shots). So they put him in a special room with a glass door right where they are to watch him. They made him a nice bed and everything.
I am going to get him a "bite-not" collar because he would get the cone hung up on everything I think.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
