Club night last night. Got some pointers on how to correct some poor positioning and creeping (down) that I had let slide by. Also some tips on how to quicken the sit when in motion. An observer pointed out that she was hesitating on the sit, which I wasn't seeing because I had pushed a little too fast and I was trying to keep my back to her; when I turn around, she was in a sit, so I wasn't catching it. Another lesson to slow down, back up and correct fundamentals, thankfully before I let it get too bad. More desenstizing work, including sniffing puppies from the opposite side of the fence.
Training session #2 in decoy work for me.
This morning, Sadie did her best tracking to date, repeating same pattern that we've been working on this week. Introduced articles to Sadie off-track. Also began working on the things that need to be corrected per the pointers from last night.

Wait, Gambit's nails got painted? What color? Pix. LOL
Worked on attention near the entrance of a school under the roof. Then later worked on heeling in the rain. One cool thing is I never taught him the left turn but the first time I turned my head to the left he knew what it meant and did a nice left turn. I am not exactly sure how close his butt is or how I would fix that yet. I'm not putting a lead around his waist and jerking him...if its an issue I guess a corner in a wall would work for that. I think he was pretty close though.
We played chuckit fetch for a reward...he comes back with the ball, spits it out like "there, now where's the tug?"

Small potatoes compared to what your dogs do but I'm really pleased with Miss Delilah. I've been working on basic obedience commands under outside distractions at home. I haven't asked for anything from her at work. Today I asked basic sit, down, stand, heel at the bank with coworkers present. She did everything I asked, I was impressed with the quickness of her compliance. Feels good to know we’re moving in the right direction. Duane how did you find your club?

Plain ole luck, and it's the only one in my immediate area.
I had just started researching and developing an interest in schutzhund. One day I'm visiting a prospective and highly recommended boarding facility. I noticed GSDs in a kennel at the back of the property and asked if they knew anything about SchH, and the reply I got was "My husband is the president of the local club." I was then shown an article about him in a business weekly. I immediately scheduled an evaluation for my dog.
To find one in your area, I would use the ever-popular search engine and try different search phrases, beginning with your city or state; Ex: "Omaha schutzhund club", or "Nebraska sport dog club", etc.

To add...
Sport clubs, IMO, are superior to obedience classes for serious driven dogs, as you are working with experienced folks that are familiar with your challenges. The club I'm in is not breed-specific (don't tell my TD! He'll make an exceptions but still insists it's a GSD club. LOL); we are currently working two pit bulls, a Cane Corso, A Boerboel (sp?), and a Rottie, and we are encouraging a certain Mal owner to join, besides all of the GSDs.

A super fun long track in light cold rain. Nose deep and fairly calm pace. Minimal baits 2 sharp turns, short and long grass, one gravel patch to end it all 50' the wood.
Then find a new long down in the arena, someone killed the mounthing block and the new one has holes that are big enought for a dog paw to go through.
Harley is realy not happy about being on the ground and kind of nervous about horses coming too close to him. I got to find a new spot so he lay in a safer place.

I just let him be a hyena today, he played with the jolly ball and pterodactyl...almost tripped me a few times but didn't snap at least. He won't let me near the ball when I try to kick it, I accidentally kicked his face but he didn't care and squished the ball in his mouth and did yard laps. My back was hurt so I took a day off from training. I'll pay tomorrow.

You need a treadmill Tresa. Teach him to stand on it and bark when he wants to run
