Maybe this information should go under obedience but since you are having a barking problem I will post it here. I am no expert but my dog had a barking problem and we kept a squirt bottle next us and every time we heard him bark we sprayed him with water, he hated it! The barking stopped in a few days, now he only barks when a stranger shows up, we never discouraged that.
Anne - Well I put it on him again today (I was a nervous wreck doing it I might add <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />and just slightly moved it off the centre. He went to bark (at a bird) and then instantly yelped, then a little growl then come running in and was very quiet. Then the first training session came with my pup and he was crated, went to bark again and yelped and growled again. Is the growling like in saying 'get off me'?
It still wasn't very nice to hear but was a huge improvement to yesterdays screaming and shaking- Thankyou.
Stephen- that's an idea! I'll give that a go before using the collar again tomorrow - thanks and I'll let you know how it went.
