Back to the originbal post - Mike the only reason a trainer would not want to use a remote collar is because he does not understand how to train with it - or the methods he uses to train are the wrong methods.

The point on those posts about choke collars is not about them being ineffective. Dogs certainly can be trained with them. The reason for not using them is the damage they cause to the neck.
