I have a 4year old gsd that mouths so bad that he will bite you on the out. He dosn't mean to bite but he won't stop. I have asked trainers and about the best I've gotten so far is use large toys so they fill his mouth. So I tried that and he still mouths. I have noticed the older he gets the worse it gets. What is your suggestion here. I'm maxed out with ideas. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
This is hard to answer, being there can be so many things involved such as genetics, training, etc, etc. A couple of suggestions: Do you out your dog and then take the toy away? Sometimes dogs will mouth because they know they are going to lose the toy when they get close to their handler, or when they are called by their handler. This is just a short suggestion.
