I have read that raw digests in 6 hous whereas kibble takes 16 hours to digest. Is it ok to feed a b-fast of wysong synorgon and then a raw dinner? Any oppinions on this or anyone who has tried this?
When I first started feeding raw 7 or so years ago I tried mixing raw meaty bones with kibble and sometimes my dogs would puke.
When I fed raw for one meal and kibble for the next they seemed to do fine. If you wish to feed both I think this is the easiest on the dog's digestive tract. At least in my experience.
My dogs are fed once a day and I feed both meat and kibble (plus added fats and supplements depending on the time of year) If you mix the two
make sure to soak the kibble for a few minutes to incorporate some water into it- this helps speed up the digestion. If you are feeding two meals with the kibble separate you should probably soak the kibble anyway even if feeding it alone as dogs are engineered to eat in a moist format. Alot of people put too much stress on how they feed their dogs and not enough on proper watering - water is one of the most important things you can put in a dog for its good health.
My two cents.
