Hi i have a gsd who is two years old today he has been food trained since he was 6weeks old on all kinds of treats now he will not take any treats when we are training heel work and will not focus and his down is very slow, all his other obediance work is ok i have cut his food to the minmium but this has not improved the problem any ideas. do you think i should you use some other form of motivation all so he has not been neuterd Tom ps my first post went a stray
Hi Mike no his obediance is not slow only his down there is no way he will go down fast.it just seems he has lost the motivation on his heel work and taking the food. no i have not introduced compulsion. he is ball crazy i have a job controling him when i have a ball.he is also good with the tug.do you think i should switch to the ball for heel work instead of food. he has a tremendous drive for all other obediance work.Tom
