I totally agree! Life is too short for that kind of frustration LOL!!! I would suggest you work with a good trainer and make your mistakes with your current dog... You will also be able to learn how to manage agressive behaviour in the house.. I have 4 dogs, 2 are G.S. and I do not allow any agressive behavior.. It does involve establishing pack order..I am the leader (: and not setting them up for failure..i.e. all food is fed in crates,(raw diet of course) And fed in pack order..alpha female, then male and then followers.. They are all crated in the house when we aren't home.. And exercised a lot!!! usually walked 2 to 4 miles a day, and Schutzhund work with the Shepherds... So you see, it takes crazy people like most of us to handle "a pack" of dogs! I would also recommend a book called the Dog Listener, written by a women from England.. Of course with anything, eat the meat and spit out the bones.. (:
I have no intentions of getting a 2nd dog right now. I like to do my research FARRRR in advance since buying a dog is not a short term commitment for me. I want to be sure I'm not dropping 3k on a crap dog, so I meticulously investigate every breeder I am considering and after much research I will not be going with Haus Brezel. I found a better breeder that what was recommended to me by a VERY experienced trainer.
Also, the 2nd dog isn't even planned until end of 2011 since I am relocating and still have a dog in training. My current dog will be done titling end of this year. I'm know better than to have 2 dogs in training at the same time when the 1st isn't even finished.
