I only have direct experience using a PC with YouTube and Flickr, and an iPhone with the Flickr app.
Mac users, feel free to chime in if there are any major differences that one might need to know about.
For a PC, first you need to have the video on your computer somewhere. I'm not going to get deep into how to get a video from your camera or phone onto your PC due to the various file formats and proprietary software that comes with some cameras. That stuff should be covered in your owners manual. The video camera likely came with some software to do so.
Uploading from a PC to YouTube, Flickr, or Photobucket is pretty easy.
Assuming you have already registered as a user, all three websites will have an upload button. Click it and it will take you to another page that will have a "browse" button. A new window will open where you can find the video file you wish to upload.
The video will be wherever you saved it on your PC.
That is pretty much it as far as getting it from a PC to a video hosting website.
It can be more complicated getting it from camera to PC because you may have to convert files and blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah.
I will be glad to try and help with that if you can tell me what camera you have and if it came with software.
I'm feeding the neighbor's coy (coi), whatever, they look like yours. There are seven big ones and they get 25 little pellets a day and they're not supposed to float upside down. Alls going well so far.
How wonderful to have a techy at our disposal. Thanks Michael and you too Barbara for all the work you've put into this.

Thanks CJ... LOL!! Yes, any koi found floating upside down is definitely a bad sign! Another bad side is a frog torso languishing on the bottom of the pond after the koi have eaten all his legs off!!! HATE finding those!!
Yeah, the complicated part can be getting the video into a format that is uploadable to those sites.
Like with my JVC camera. I have to get the video onto my computer where I then have to use the software that came with the camera to convert the files to something usable.
I would definitely take this into account if looking for a new camera.
