the interesting thing is that once he shreds it a little he seems to be happy ad then leaves it alone ripped. Its still functional but chewed up a little.
This is my problem... She loves something to lay on but does exactly that. That is to the exception of my parents bed... She did a real big job on that one.
This is great stuff. Its so nice to find out that there are so many other owners out there having the same issues. I don't wish this on you guys but....well you know.
Jeter destroys every bed I put in his crate. the interesting thing is that once he shreds it a little he seems to be happy ad then leaves it alone ripped. Its still functional but chewed up a little. It usually winds up i the corner of the crate anyway.
Exactly, one of mine does this. The rest leave their blankets alone. I do like the rubber matt idea and tried it with her, but she would go in and out of the crate attempting to remove it to the point of making me mental watching her. Out the matt came and in went the shreds and she's content.
Oddly they've all got those hair loss type callouses except for her.
Okay, so I tried a mat I picked up at home depot.....it's about 1 inch thick, semi-soft rubber cut to fit his crate....
well, I think he'll be mat, blanket, and large pillow free XD He carefully lifted the mat and stuck it up against the back wall of his crate, then sprawled on the plastic tray again...
I think I've found the solution though. I put a medium stuffed toy in there and he's been using it to rest his head on while his body in on the tray.
Lol I think he expressed very clearly exactly how he feels about that mat! Made me giggle just reading that. I give you a big A+ for effort Jamie! These goofy dogs...
