If I may ask - what was their reasoning behind the banning of SchH, was it just the "bite work" portion ( or did they even give any reasons? )?

It wouldn't amaze me to hear that the show community pushed for this........

FYI, check this out; Sch has been banned here in all except my state - which will prolly soon follow. owning a tug toy can get you in big trouble with police- you can buy/sell them as long as you don't allow a dog to bite on them while you hold the toy in yr hand!! i actaully hide my fav. ME video "power of tug" i bought from Ed, like i am a criminal or something.

if required. the good/sad bit is from a hunters perspective n this is fact cause i asked my local council is that all dogs are pit bulls unless you can prove they aren't!!! presumably with papers/DNA. given most rural/hunting dogs aren't papered then nearly everyone i know has a pit in their back yard that can be legally taken away n destroyed at any time, no legal defence!!!

here is the best bit though; who decides if yr dog is a pit or not? a vet; no, a recognised breed expert; no. in my case it the nice lady at the council front reception who doesn't even own a dog or know the first thing about them - her words

don't know the official reason for banning Sch it was my conspiracy theory to blame the pathetic show GSD people, can't back that up with fact so shouldn't really have put it up.

i will write Sch Aus to find out though.
