Well to end The post of Obedience,
it seems the easy way to say you do not understand this method by ending the post and stating that this training is old school. We are disscusing a method and someone is bringing in ethics of the training. Someone posted how the top trainers are moving away from this method. They should check their facts before making such a blanket statement. That is false. I know people who do train this way and every year they compete in the BSP. If we wanted to discuss ethics the people who use hot dogs are not free and clear. We kill pigs and chickens to make hot dogs to feed our dogs. Is that ethical? Well, we were here to read and maybe learn from one another not get upset because we do not prefer the others way. WE can train more together than by ourselves. It is unfortunate that people can not even use the computer and not get full of rage and anger over something they do not understand or agree with.
Dawn
Well, that was a very worthwhile post. I'd like to say welcome aboard but you don't sound like someone who particularly cares about getting a welcome. If you are refering to the aggression in obedience thread, that thread was left open longer than it probably should have. Not only WAS the training old school, there were some snide arrogant remarks made by the person towards other members who were not deserving of such treatment. Perhaps you should practice the same tolerance that you are talking about. You blow your whole argument anyway when you made that stupid comment about the hot dogs and ethics. Very transparent. Thread closed.
