I rarely purchase training treats, usually put together something on my own. The Zukes are convenient, on the go treats, so usually have a bag hanging around. I use these too, size and texture are very close. http://www.cloudstar.com/prodcat/chewy-tricky-trainers.asp
I'm happy to get that recommendation.
I usually make a mixed bag of Zuke's, leftovers, cubed poultry, Leerburg's Soft Training Treats, etc.
But I do use a lot of purchased rewards. I show up for a first training visit well prepared for the new owners who may have the idea that food rewards are something like Milk-Bone dog biscuits, and I come ready to leave whatever I have so they can have a little time to cook up a poultry breast and dice it or maybe buy something like what I've brought. I always give a slip of paper with the links to the LB Snap-Open Bait Bag and several of the tiny LB rewards (and always had Zuke's Minis on the top of the list until now).

Cloudstar makes the buddy biscuits. They also have
grain free ones...the buddy biscuits have no egg, soy, corn etc. I have used them for maybe 5-6 yrs or properly more then that.
I'm another one who uses and likes the Cloud Star products. I've used the Tricky Trainers (for training treats-just the right size) and the Buddy Biscuits (for my leaving-the-house-here's-a-cookie kind of treat).
Here's another brand I use and like very much. Again, they're very close in size to the Zuke's, just shaped a little differently. (For some reason, the website only shows the chicken flavor, but I know they come in others. I have a bag of liver flavor right now.) They also come in crunchy varieties which I use in my rotation, but I think the soft varieties have more meat ingredients:
I also use these, but I cut each single piece into six smaller pieces with a pair of kitchen scissors. They're very similar to the Zuke's Jerky Naturals, if you've ever seen those. Each piece is a bit less than a quarter-inch thick and about an inch square:
Both the Old Mother Hubbard and the WellBites are made by WellPet, which as far as I can tell, is still an independent company (but who knows these days).
My dogs all get Yummy Chummies for training treats. You can break them into smaller bites easily. I like the grain-free "gold" best but the original are cheapest. Bang for buck, these treats work best for me.

Thanks for that info, Kiersten! I had never heard of that brand, but I'm definitely going to try it. Wild Alaska salmon as the first ingredient, made in Alaska, by a family-owned company. That all sounds great! I use the Plato salmon treats occasionally, which my dogs love, so I'm guessing they will love these, too.
