Can someone please help me? It seems no one gives a shit about my little corner of the world. If you're not living in America, Australia or the UK/Europe, you apparently don't exist. I can't even get books delivered to this little island without a great deal of trouble and BRIBES ~ lots of them.
Did you know, customs will routinely ring expats such as myself up, tell them their package has arrived but there have been 'complications' and if they were to contribute to some 'Islamic charity' or other, they will help you out. Bastards....
Anyway, after that little outburst, I would like to know whether there are such things as reputable breeders in this corner of the world (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia). I'm looking only at protection breeds really, but any info. any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated regardless.
Gee Andy... I don't know where you are an expat from... but if I were you, I would probably be sorely tempted to go back there!
"Islamic charities" often seem to be fronts for al-Qaeda or similar "charitable" organizations.
I have been given to understand that dogs are widely despised in the Muslim world. Probably the reason that this board seems so skewed to North America / Europe / Australia is that the Western world views dogs in a much more kindly light.
I know I haven't helped your particular plight. Just telling you what I'd do in your shoes.
a. I'm married to an Indonesian chick who wants to stay here (though I don't know how long we will remain together considering her views post 911)
b. I have a job that pays BIG BIG $
c. Indonesia's an AMAZING country. Fabulous country, beautiful scenery and cheap as shit to
live here.
I'm from Liverpoool, England in case you're still wondering, though sometimes/most of the time I feel like I'm living on Mars. Basically, life sucks, I'm pissed off with the lot of them ~ YES, I MEAN MUSLIMS ~ and if I could find a way out, I would take it without hesitation. Anyone want to employ me in the US?
I know this is not an agony Aunt site, but I'm real lonely at this point in time and I don't care anymore. You can delete me if you so wish...no hard feelings.

Many thanks
Andy Hi Dr. Andy,
So I presume you're out here in SE Asia, huh? Well, I own GSDs that I brought in from Europe. All Working lines.
I just bred my first litter (imported in dam) from Czech.
My dogs' lines are from Czech, Slovak, and soon to follow, DDRs and West.
You can email me privately thru toshkenberg@hotmail.com. I have pups and young adults in my kennel.
Andy, a little off topic but, I too yearn to return to the US, if not for love of job. (Considering a fifth career with dogs!) Anyway, I don't refer to myself as an expat; according to my dictionary an expatriate is someone who has been exiled. I am a foreigner. I am welcome back to my country.
And why are you considering another dog? Don't you have your hands full already?
I know of a few breeders in Australia and Hawaii that deal in working line GSDs. I know the Japanese usually field a good team for the WUSV, most of them have working line GSDs from Belgium, I don't know how many of them actually breed though.
