Have you ever been to her kennels? I live 35 minutes from her kennels and yes her dogs look nice. She takes pride in her dogs appearance but she is more interested in their working ability. Most of her stock is from West German lines. She has provided dogs for several departments throughout the country in the past and all of her adults are very well behaved and very well trained. I was going to purchase a pup from her until I located an excellant prospect from the local shelter.
Nope, never been there. I just posted my observations from the website.
Phil, if I may ask, how were they well trained? In Obedience, or bitework, or tracking?
Most kennels that provide police service K-9's mention it on their site. I saw no mention of that anywhere on the site.
And more dogs are listed/mentioned on that site without any titles provided than were listed with titles ( actually thirteen dogs total are displayed...*two* have titles ). A breeder can be interested in working ability but unless the titles are earned and displayed, it's hard for the public to determine.
Again, I can judge only what I see on the website. Maybe seeing it in person would change my mind. But someone asked for an opinion and I gave an honest evaluation of what I saw.
And this is a forum dedicated to working dogs. Most of us judge dogs by that standard.
Someone should tell her that the pictures suck. Nice looking dogs, but not shown well. Pictures dark or blurry. Dog sitting or laying down. I didn't see any pedigrees, just pics. It would be nice to see what they breed.
West German conformation lines, and some Hungarian conformation lines.
I saw nothing I would consider "working" bloodlines, although both the West Germans (of course) and the Hungarian conformation folks breed to standard- meaning working and conformation titles to breed.
The Hungarians are, or were, a little more removed from the SV and a lot of the breeding done in the BDR so there are some differences I think between the two conformation lines. But they are still not what I would consider "working" bloodlines.
Thats just a guess from what I have seen though.
The majority of the dogs not being titled and no mention of training in working disciplines would immediately turn me away from a kennel like this.

The Hungarian lines that she lists are all show lines. I agree with Robert, most of what you see in the working dogs from Hungary are the German or Czech lines.
