I was reading another post which made reference to the inability of pit bulldogs to ever be used as police K-9 officers. Sadly, as much as I love the breed, I too thought this would never be an option in today's world. But I and everyone else were dead wrong.
Now I know these are individual instances, but I had know idea this was even happening.
I don't think this is news to most people with experience in working dogs or PSDs. There are a great number of different types of non-traditional working dogs that can do detector work, and even a rare few that can do patrol work. (although the dogs you posted above are dope dogs (or mascots), not bite dogs)
I don't understand the point of your posting these examples. I can only assume that you're doing so to stir the pot more on the subject of APBTs, which you've clearly proven you enjoy doing.
How about adding some substance to these posts by including YOUR POINT???
Andy,
Dude your crusade is really getting freakin annoying. Your cluttering up the boards and knocking out good topics from the active list. Now we have to go to the main index to find other good topics. Why don't you take your crusade where it matters to the humane societies that have no APBT adoption policys, but instead kill them if they come into their shelters. Go and help APBT rescue or something. This is a working dog forum. Most here have GSD's and then Mals, and there is only to my knowledge a small handful (could count on one hand) of us on here who have pitbulls. I have 1 left from my days with the breed, I deal with Mals now. The same with others on here who have pits. So my point is your not making one, and no one here really cares. I'm a pitbull lover everyone here knows that (you wouldn't since you just got on here) and I never thought I'd say this, but lay off all the freakin pitbull posts, because as I said, really no one here cares, I'd say 98% of the people on here will never even consider getting a pitbull so all in all your just wasting thread and it is really getting annoying. Since you said you no nothing about dog training and don't have a dog, why don't you lay off the posts and just sit back and read and learn
