This is a great course, Forrest explains the foundations required for heelwork clearly and also makes it fun. A well structured course with nice clear audio which is fun for both dog and owner.

I hear another language you use sometimes, what is it? Otherwise, I love your videos and the concepts you train for. The tone is easy, and the training updates my form of training very much. You are my favorite trainer and I will follow through with this as my class moves along.

Really excellent training. The combination of explanation and demonstration makes it all easy to follow and understand. Forrest clearly knows his stuff and is able to communicate that beautifully. My Malinois pup (now 10 months) and I took our time over several months to really perfect each piece as we progressed through the DVD. He's quite an elegant heeler already, as the result of working through this training, and I look forward to DVD #2.

I'm a huge Forrest fan! He speaks well and he knows his material profoundly. I have two of his dvds that I fall back on a lot because they are simply jammed packed with valuable information! Absolutely love this guy! I would love to have the opportunity to work with him.

To start off, I am a first time dog owner with no experience that decided to get a dutch shepherd as a first dog. I felt as though I needed a dog to match my energy. Once I got her I realized that I was in over my head with her relentless energy. I decided to train her myself through Leerburg's videos. I started with Michael Ellis power of training with food, power of playing tug, and focused heeling. All of which were a must see and I continue to watch to this day to refresh. I thought the focused heeling video for the price had more information than this video for half the cost. This video does explain how to improve motivation of dog while heeling by adding powerups into the heeling. These have helped with my dogs focus and motivation within the heeling. Other than that, focused heeling was a better buy in my opinion.

I never knew heeling could be this much fun! I normally don't have the patience for videos, but this video is so motivating and very clearly explained and demonstrated. I've found this to be true of most of the Leerburg videos. I've watched this video multiple times and taken notes. I have daily practice sessions while running with my dog off leash. I'm so glad that the Heeler's Toolbox II has finally been released so we can continue to advance our skills. Before I found the Leerburg videos by Forrest, Michael Ellis, and Ed Frawley, I had a Giant Schnauzer that was about to be expelled from a Canine Good Citizen class. Although we still have some over-protectiveness/guarding issues to work through, we now have our Canine Good Citizen award and I understand how to motivate my dog.

This is a great video and is also great through the interactive online course with Leerburg! I've been waiting for this series to come out on DVD and I'm so thankful it's here. Forrest Micke is one of THE best trainers I have ever come across! I've worked with several trainers before and none of them had the patience or the want to attitude that Forrest has. I love his training style and how he is engaged with the dogs and with the people. Thank you so much for what you do Forrest and Leerburg! I highly recommend this DVD!

I just received the video on DVD format, and didn't have a chance to attend the course as a student. I can only say one word:wow! I have seen many heeling videos before, namely, the old Tom Rose video in the past, and also the newer Michael Ellis video. They are all good and this is not a criticism of anybody. What I liked about this one is that it's actually a course. I knew all about luring and the hotdog from the hand trick with the head high.

This is the first time I saw a progression of steps all thought out. From spinning behavior, to the hand-touch, to the approximation of turning around a cone to heel position between legs, and muscle memory. This is the first one I saw that puts it all together, including behaviors that don't seem related to heeling, into a "program" where once you get each step right, you are building your training relationship and you see a progress method. ...I never saw how to progress from one chain to the other as cleanly and logically organized as I saw here.

Can't wait to train my 14 month old German Shepherd Pup. I feel this is a program, not a training video and that's the key difference. . Has to be watched repeatedly to get all components correct before putting it all together.

Fantastic work Forrest and Ed, as usual, you put out fantastic, well organized material! Very engaging

Excellent DVD for anyone ready to train for competition heeling.
this DVD covers all the foundation necessary for heads up heeling, making it fun for you and the dog. This DVD is very accurate with using positive reinforcement techniques. Forest Micke is easy to understand, but I do recommend you watch the DVD all the way thru before doing the exercises, then Make notes on key points as there is so much information in this DVD it will be hard to remember each exercise.
