Training Your Dog with FOOD REWARDS Ver 2024 4 Hours   I produced my first dog training DVD in 1982, I didn't produced a DVD on training dogs with food until 2007. We eventually turned the information in that 2 hour DVD into a video stream and followed by an online course (both with 2 hours of content). The information in those projects was good then and is still good today. The problem is we have learned a lot about training with food rewards in 17 years (since we did that first DVD). That course needed to be redone with the additional information. The fact is I should have done this 10 years ago, we just didn't have the time.   This new 2024 stream has 4 hours of content, Vs the old 2007 - 2 hour stream.   One of the benefits of learning to use food rewards in your training is you will end up with a dog that loves to train, in fact, most will challenge you to take them out to train. This is very different from what I experienced back in the 1960s and 1970s.   Learning to train dogs with food is a journey. It's not the end of your training, it should be the beginning. You will use this information for the rest of your dog's life. In the end, it is going to make you a much better dog trainer. If you scroll to the bottom of this page you will see a detailed outline of the new material.    Course Outline  Module 1: Reward-Based Training  Segment 1  A Note From Ed  Segment 2  Building Your K-9 Communication System  Segment 3  Terminology  Segment 4  Engagement      Module 2: Marker Training Using Food Rewards  Segment 1  Selecting the Right Food Reward  Segment 2  Does Your Dog Want to Train Today?  Segment 3  Timing Reward Delivery  Segment 4  Reward Delivery  Segment 5  Continuous Reinforcement  Segment 6  Training the Collar Grab Game  Segment 7  Building & Managing Food Drives  Segment 8  Short Training Sessions  Segment 9  Food Rewards vs. Toy Rewards      Module 3: Rate of Reinforcement & Reward Events  Segment 1  Rate of Reinforcement & Reward Events  Segment 2  Cindy and Rate of Reinforcement      Module 4: Luring is a Tool  Segment 1  What is Luring  Segment 2  Luring With & Without the Dog  Segment 3  Foot Targets  Segment 4  Food Chase Games  Segment 5  Call Back & Call Away Game  Segment 6  Lures vs. Gestures or Hand Signals  Segment 7  Fading a Lure  Segment 8  Hand Touch Game  Segment 9  Restrained Recall Game  Segment 10  Food Toss Game      Module 5: Understanding Spatial Pressure  Segment 1  What is Spatial Pressure  Segment 2  Training the SIT  Segment 3  Using Platform to Condition Handling  Segment 4  Training Down and Stand with Spatial Pressure with Food      Module 6: Adding a Verbal Command  Segment 1  Add Verbal Command      Module 7: Weaning Dogs Off Food Rewards  Segment 1  The Limits to Continuous Reinforcement  Segment 2  Switching to Variable & Random Reinforcement      Module 9: Happy Training - Where To Go From Here  Segment 1  The Power of Training Dogs with Markers  Segment 2  Training Your Dog to Come When Called - Everytime!  Segment 3  Basic Dog Obedience  Segment 4  Intermediate Dog Obedience  Segment 5  Remote Collar Training for the Pet Owner  Segment 6  Dealing with Dominant & Aggressive Dogs
