Training the Jumps with Cindy and Rush
Uploaded on January 1, 2008 •

This is a short video of a training session on jumps with Cindy and Rush. Rush is 16 months old in this video clip. It was flimed at one of the Michael Ellis seminars.
You will have an opportunity to watch how Cindy approaches the session with her dog, how she sets him up to get his head in the game and then how she works through a couple of problems that come up,
As usually Michael offers advice on what she can do to improve the work.
Cindy trains with markers, if you know and understand marker training you will see some excellent applications of the use of markers in training. Even though there are no corrections in this training session it is a perfect example of how training can be stressful for your dog.
Part way through the training session you will see Rush shake. Shaking is one way animals get rid of stress. It has nothing to to with being wet, it is one way dogs get rid of adrenalin.
If you have an opportunity to go to a Michael Ellis seminar, it is worth a long drive and a hotel room. Just bring a big note book.
