Dear Mam and Sir, My Dog and Cat were raised together with no problems. I adopted a desperate stray with monumental pray instinct. Today they got after my cat in a bad way. Jim, who grew up with the cat, was just as involved as our new dog. Jim and the cat are four years old. I suspect the new arrival is one year old. I need a direction in correcting, not only the new dogs behavior, but the change in Jim's behavior. Thank you in advance if you have time to offer me any direction in this ma...
Hi, I have a 4 yo rough collie whom I got as a 5 month old from a show breeder. He's crate trained, knows basic obedience, understands "leave it" and "no", and has been taught to settle away from the table when we eat. My mother left food sitting out on the counters and there began his one bad habit. It has been over a year since then and we have made sure to not leave anything on the counters or table, as well as tether him or crate him when we can't watch him around food on surfaces. I have al...
Hi! I took your dock diving course and was wondering if you have any other courses or resources on over arousal in sport dogs. My dog Chance absolutely loves dock diving, but she gets so excited that as soon as we’re near the pool she starts barking, lunging, and pulling etc. She’s good at home and in most public places, but all of her training seems to disappear around the dock. By the time it’s her turn, she’s exhausted from working herself up. She’ll pull until she chokes hers...

Hello Ed & Cindy, I'm writing today regarding my mother's year old spayed female GSD. She was purchased by my 18 year old brother who didn't do groundwork before leaving for college. She is loving & intelligent, but extremely stubborn and dominant. I've never had a dog this frustrating to train. She is teetering on the edge of needing to find a new home because of her behavioral issues. I'm hoping that you can suggest specific DVDs and articles that are most fitting for her issues. We'...
We have an almost 7mth Malinois who when we drop off at daycare, is showing separation anxiety. He tries doing these little nips at the staff when they put him in the runs in the beginning of the day. They said the rest of the day, he is perfect; it's just right after drop off happens. He starts crying when we pull up to the clinic not wanting to go but then they say he does excellent all day long! We don't get it. Just want to address the nipping issues because some techs are starting to get a ...
What is the shipping stress on puppies? I will be getting an 8 week old German Shepherd by air. The flight should only be one to one and a half hours.

Hi I was wondering. I have almost finished the intermediate obedience course, and I sometimes see video's of dogs that can really hold a command, or hold a specific type of focus and when we the people say 'break', the dog knows it can go and do whatever. Are there courses that zoom in on this behavior? Thank you
I have a 7 year old Belgian malinois, previously my primary PSA/ personal protection dog, whom I got at 7 months old. She was pick of the litter from an Ot Vitosha litter who had a few reactive bites before I got her. They resorted to e-collar corrections for fear of her reactivity. She has become one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned; high drive, great civil, high prey, more praise driven than anything. She is the dog that would kill herself trying to do what I ask. She had a complete fear of ...
I am a Tester/Observer for therapy dogs. Several months ago I lost my 12 yr old Lab.. But with some time, I found a puppy that I will pick up when 8 weeks old. I have no experience training a puppy. Can you direct me to a video or general steps that would help? Very excited about bringing him home but want to do it correctly from the start. Thanks,
