Q. My female Rott tied on her 11th day. It is now a week later and she is still flagging the male. Should I separate them or let them breed again?
I have a 2 1/2 yr. old female rottweiler she tied on 02/14/06 on her 11th day , it is now 02/27/06 and she is still flagging and the male is going crazy, What should i do should i keep them apart? or let her breed again, i am afraid i missed the breeding for her. Also she bleed her entire cycle this time 22 days and when her blood started to change is when the proven male was urging to breed her which would be today.

Thank you,
Tricia

A. Nothing lost in trying. If she got pregnant on the 14 then this breeding will not work – if this is her right time then it should work.

You should have been doing vaginal smears.

Puppy Tube Feeding Kit
Puppy Tube Feeding Kit

Feeding tube is 16 inches long (41cm) and approximately 3/32 inches (2.7mm) outside diameter. It is best to store your feeding tube and syringe at normal room temperature. In colder temperatures the feeding tube will become rigid and stiff. At body temperature, the tube becomes softer, resilient, and completely flexible. Syringe is 35cc and attaches to the integral funnel end of the feeding tube. The opposite end of the feeding tube has a closed rounded tip with 2 side port 'eyes'.

I currently have a success rate of well over 90%. Our 1 hour DVD shows how we collect a stud dog an immediately inseminate one of our females at our kennel.
