Can I pre-mix with water, add meat protein, put in small zip lock containers and freeze my dog's twice daily portions?
Full Question:
Hi Cindy,I have two small yorkshire terriers who have been eating Honest Kitchen for about 18 months. They are doing fantastic. I feed Preference and supplement with meat protein, fish, turkey, etc. The older one (12 years) had continuous tummy upsets (continuously soft stool) for the first 10 years of his life. Since eating Preference we have not had one instance of runny, soft stool. The younger one (2 years) was raised on it from the time he was 12 weeks old. Their coats are beautiful and their teeth or perfect. I love it. My question is: We are going on vacation for a week, next week. Cannot take them so they will be staying with my Mother and Dad and they will be spoiled rotten (rottener) :). I am worried about Mom getting their food fixed properly. Can I pre-mix with water, add meat protein, put in small zip lock containers and freeze their twice daily portions? All she would have to do is thaw and feed.
I have attached a picture of my two boys, Gizmo and Barkley. Thanks.
Belinda

Sure, that should work out fine. I’ve done that in the past with my own dogs.
