My dog gets blisters from the Jafco muzzles. What can I do to pad the muzzle so he doesn't get them?
Full Question:
I purchased 2 of your Jafco muzzles & have been very happy with them, however my dog is getting blisters on the top of his nose and bottom of his chin from rubbing from the muzzle. Do you have any suggestions of what I can do to pad the muzzle more so he doesn't get them? They break open and bleed and I just feel awful for him! I believe my step-mom emailed (and possibly sent you pictures of my bite wounds)you in December or January about the dog fight that we didn't know how to break up and in the process I got bitten pretty bad, fortunately I have done some extensive research on your web site and listen to your podcasts, so I feel confident I will be prepared to handle it correctly next time, which hopefully there won't be because my dog is muzzled now when around other dogs(which is almost all the time).
Sorry to ramble on, I'm sure you get hundreds of emails a day, but I would GREATLY appreciate ANY suggestions!!
Thanks Again
Cindy's Answer:
I haven’t had anyone email with this problem before but what about getting some of that molefoam (like people use when they get blisters on their feet)? It has adhesive on one side and foam on the other. You can buy it at any drugstore or WalMart.
I hope this helps.
