Is there a limit as to how much weight can be placed on the rubber touch tubs before they collapse?
Full Question:
I have a question pertaining to the tubs that can be used as touch pads. Is there a limit as to how much weight can be placed on them before they collapse? I have two newfoundlands that are easily over 120 lbs. I am afraid that if I use the tubs in training, the tub will collaspe under their weight and the true purpose of the tubs will be void.Thank you,
Jody
Cindy's Answer:
We don’t have a dog that large here, so I had one of our office employees go and stand on one of the tubs. If her foot was placed in the center of the tub, it did collapse. If she had both feet on the tub, one on each side, the tub did not collapse. Even when the tub did collapse, it popped right back to normal shape as soon as she stepped off of it.
I hope this helps.
I hope this helps.
User Response:
Just in case anyone asks, here is proof that a very large dog won't collapse the tubs. In these pictures, my newf Ursa is on the tub with full force. As you can see, she in not small in the least. The tub kept its shape. I am using them in a lot of training exercises. Thanks for a great product.Jody, Ursa and Loki
