Is the dominant dog collar guaranteed not to break if my dog pulls? My mastiff mix is 9 years old and I've had issues with him since he was a baby.

Is the dominant dog collar guaranteed to not snap/break if my dog pulls? I have a nine year old Mastiff mix, I’ve been dealing with issues with him since he’s been a baby (got him when he was five weeks old, he was taken from his mother way too soon). He’s always had an attitude. We’ve finally got to a point where he will mind me only, but not other people. He is also sometimes reactive to other dogs and does a lot of posturing, like kicking his feet while staring them down after going out to pee or stiffening up/challenging other dogs that come near him. We no longer allow him around other dogs for everyone’s safety.I’ve been using a choke chain, which is the only way I’ve been able to get him to properly work with me on a lead. I want something more consistent as it’s hard to find something that fits over his head and around his neck easily. The choke chain slides down too much and I have to adjust it as I’ve always been worried about it causing injury to him. Thanks for reading.

Our dominant dog collars are very strong and if properly cared for and not allowed to be chewed or become excessively frayed they should not break if your dog pulls. I will say that if the collar is fitted properly (up high under the jaw) and you take some time to train him to the equipment, your dog is very unlikely to be pulling like he would on a traditional collar. If you need help selecting the right size after measuring your dog's neck let me know and I'll pass your message along to one of the office staff. They can assist you with picking out the best size for your dog.
In addition to the collar I am going to suggest some courses for you as well. Leash reactivity is one of the most common issues I receive messages about, we have an excellent course on working through this.
