Ouch, I sprained my ankle when I was a kid once. I just did my bets to walk on it as best I could...it hurt like hell but I didn't want anybody to know for some reason. It heeled well.
My dog caused me to sprain my knee really bad. I was playing with him and accidentally bounced the ball to far away and before I could react he lurched after it while I was still holding the leash. I fell on my knee and was in shock and though I had ripped my kneecap off. He knew I was hurt and laid quietly next to me with the ball in his mouth. I had to walk 1/2 mile home.
Its so boring to be suddenly immobile.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.

Both true: I had to walk home (after sitting on the ground for a looong time) and it is SO BORING to be immobilized without a Lark with a sidecar!
Works the same in Kmart, Safeway, or even Petco. Its to transfer your suffering on to all the other shoppers who wish you would have just stayed home with your foot up.
Hah!
Steve, thanks again for lightening up what otherwise was a somewhat dull day...
(I think I need to get out more...)
Battle scars, but your going to have to come up with a better reason then "I just tripped".
You were working on jumps and decided to show the dog how it's done huh!?
That landing off the top of the French Ring palisade is a dandy isn't it?
Maybe the jump through the burning hoop in Mondio?
!!I got it!!
You were at a Michael Ellis seminar and he swept you off your feet...literally!
