Introducing Your Puppy to a Leash

Tyler Muto is a genius when it comes to developing a solid family dog. A large portion of developing a solid member of your household is teaching the dog to walk politely on the leash. In this short video, Tyler Muto will teach our Cattle Dog puppy, Maybe, the initial steps of leash pressure. These skills will ultimately transfer into our walks. You can see how this training is very easy for the dog to understand and applies a minimal amount of stress or pressure to the dog, when done correctly.

Maybe has never worn a leash around her neck. Up until this point, she's been walked on a harness. She's developed a bit of a habit of pulling. Because this is her first session and she is young, we decided to use a slip-lead to introduce her to the movement pattern and basic heel position.
