Degenerative myelopathy is a disease of the spine in which the dog slowly loses the abilty to walk. Over the years I have had several dogs with this disease.

Daily Medications and Supplements:
Medications:
Acetylcysteine 25 mg/kg 3 times a day (every other day after 2 weeks)
Aminocaproic acid 500 mg 3 times a day
Dietary Supplements:
Tofu (4-6 ounces) daily with food
Carrots (2 raw or 4 cooked) daily
Sardines (2 or 1 Tbs ground Flax seeds) daily
Garlic (2 raw cloves or ½-1 tsp powdered) daily with food
Ginger (dry or fresh ½-1 tsp) daily with food
Mustard (½-1 tsp dry) daily with food
GLA (500 mg borage, black current or evening primrose oil) 2 times a day
CoenzymeQ (100 mg) once a day
Ginkgo bilboa (1 capsule or 50 mg standardized extract) 2 times a day
American ginseng or Dong quai (1 capsule) once a day
Siberian ginseng (1 capsule) 2 times a day
Green tea (1 capsule or 1 cup) 2 times a day
Grape seed extract (1-50 mg capsule or 1 cup grape juice) once a day
Bromelain (250-2000 gdu) twice a day
Curcumin (500 mg) twice a day
Vitamin E (2000 IU) once a day
Vitamin C (build up to 1000 mg) twice a day
Vitamin B complex (B100s) twice a day
Selenium (200 µg) once a day
