Recommended How do I transition from the prong collar to a flat collar for walks?

Hi, I've been watching your basic dog training videos with my 4 and 5 year old papillons. They've quit pulling on the leashes on walks, but only as long as they are on prong collars. They still pull continually on flat collars. How do I transition between the prong collar and the flat collar for walks? Thanks! Rebecca

At state parks we have to keep our dog tied up at all times. Is there a tie that I can wrap around a tree that is safe? Is there another option I am not considering?

Hi there, First off wanted to let you know that your DVDs have literally done worlds of change for our dog, and now that we have such an engaged and happy dog we recently took her hiking with us in the state parks in texas, which was phenomenal. The one problem there is that you must keep your dog on a lead at all times, no exceptions, even though I would feel confident that our dog would not leave a platz, sit or place until released I still must follow the rules or get a ticket. Is there...

I have a question about the design of the wire basket muzzle.

I was looking to purchase a wire basket muzzle for my German Shepard. I have taken all the necessary measurement needed. My question is it does not have a leather strap going from the basket between the eyes to behind the head like some others that I seen on your site is the a reason or just because of the longer snout. If there are fitted right have you ever seen the wire basket muzzle come off. Thanks for your time Michael

Which prong collar and size would you recommend for our dog?

I have a almost 3 year old Yorkie/Pekingese mix, he is 10 lbs and his neck is measured at 11 inches snug ( his collars are 12-14 inches to fit with comfort). He pulls on walks every single time and it's worse when he sees a dog or squirrel. We have decided to finally try a prong collar since nothing else works with him. Which prong collar and size do you recommend for him? Thanks, Leticia

Where do I measure my dog for a harness and which tracking line would work the best?

Good afternoon. I just joined a Schutzhund club and I'm looking to purchase a harness and tracking line. My first question is in regards to the harness. My GSD is a 70-75 lb male, 11 months & 1 week old today. What size harness would be appropriate? Where exactly would I measure him? I'm guessing it would be the brown version (25 to 39"). My tracking line question is which material would be good to have. I certainly don't need the 'best,' but I also don't want one that will be ruined ...

My dog has a lot of extra skin around his neck. How do I make sure the bark collar is placed properly and snug enough?

Cindy, I just ordered a bark collar from you all, and I have a question about fitting it properly. My dog has a lot of extra skin around his neck. I want this to work, but am unsure about where it place it on his neck and how snug to make it. I've read the articles, but I didn't see anything about dogs with excess neck skin. I look forward to your help! ~Ann

My dog seems to be 'pouting' and won't play fetch since we've started using the prong collar. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Cindy HI. My name is Donna and I have the Irish Setter, Lexee. Recently I purchased a few of your videos and the prong collar and a stim collar too. ( I already have a stim collar but you recommended one with more distance.) I have been using the prong collar and immediately Lexee stopped almost all the pulling. I have made very few pop corrections and they have all been in a mild manner. So far so good. My problem is that I think Lexee is mad at me and even though this will sound corny...
